PERSONAL.

Air Jury, an .employee of Air G. At. Lethbridge, yesterday cut half his thumb oil' while cutting wood.

Air F. G. Davies leaves to-morrow on a visit to Auckland, where he will attend the conference of engineers. Airs Heap, Airs and Aliss Pritchard (Hutt) and Aliss F. Dev an leave Oluki in a few days’ time for Moiueka where they will camp for some six weeks. Air H. Witchell, who is in an indifferent state of health, expects to leave for the South shortly for a change, which it is hoped will prove beneficial.

Air Brooke, open golf champion, who has been giving lessons in Olaki with great success, returns to Lower Hutt to-morrow. Airs Fogden, sen., who recently broke a rib, is still in Aloutere hospital, but is making good progress towards recovery. Air Keith St. George is also an inmate, but is doing nicely.

Airs Walsh had the misfortune yesterday to trip and fall on a broken bottle, with the result that she gashed her arm severely. The injury was attended to by Dr. fc-harp.

Messrs Ben Heap, of Otaki, and Messrs H. S. George, George and Walter Tantrum, of Levin, leave shortly on a motor tour of the Taupo district, where they will indulge in trout-fif-hing. Air Heap will afterwards visit Nelson. Master T. Webster, son of Mr and Mrs A. D, Webster, is at present in hospital, suffering from an injury to his hand. While near some machinery his fingers came into contact with some cogs, with the result that two joints of the middle finger were severed.
