GOVERNMENT DECIDES.
SHORT SESSION TO TEST PARTY STRENGTH. The Government has decided to convex a short session of Parliament and tost ite strength. So much was announced yesterday by the Prime Minister, who added that after the Christma* holidavs he would call a meeting Of th* Eeform Party. The probable date of the session has not been disclosed, and is likely to be withheld xor a time. The general expectation «, however, that the House will meet i» Febmory.
