GENERAL ELECTIONS.

Mr W. H. Field, official Reform candidate for Otaki, addressed electors at Silvcrstrenm on Friday night. Mr Castle was in the chair, and the hall was well tilled. On the motion of Mr W, N. Clifford, the candidate was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence, from which there were only two dissentients. Mr C. I. Harkness, Independent Reform candidate for the Otaki electorate, addressed an enthusiastic meeting at Porirua on Friday night. Mr E. Windley occupied the chair. Mr Harkness dealt fully with all political questions, pointing out clearly and definitely kin political views.
