ANGLICAN CHURCH BAZAAR.

Much interest is being taken in this event which takes place to-morrow, and the bazaar promises to be exceptionally successful. The official opening will be performed at 3 p.m. by Mr W. H. Field, M.P., and will be followed by a beautiful spectacular exhibition of the May Pole dance. The children—24 in number —have been rehearsing hard for some weeks, and may be depended upon to give an execution of the per- | formance that will reflect credit upon j themselves, and also afford keen pleasure to those who witness this time-hon- , oured dance. A second performance will take place in the evening at 8 o'clock. There will be a great variety of interesting competitions, including shooting gallery, bobs, archery, tantallum, deck quoits, etc. A new feature this year will be the stall conducted by the Sunday School scholars. It will contain a large num-

ber of jumbles of every description, toys, hand-wrought work, etc., and a Xmas tree, well laden with fruit, will be a competition that ought to attract a record number of entries. The afternoon tea Raffia cako baskets, to be found in the fancy stall, and which are now the fashionable thing, ought to command a ready sale; while the Xmas treo (conducted by tho Junior Missionary Guild) is sure to prove a special attraction to the children and to parents who are looking forward to the near arrival of Santa Claus.
