REPORTS. The following reports were read at Lis morning’s meeting of the Council nd adopted: Works Committee.

Correspondence was referred to from Mr Monrad re valuations of water shed area.—Dealt with bv Town Clerk.

from Mr Stuveley, asking for permit to build a new office on Section lot’ and 100 Otaki township.—Granted. from Mrs Cobb le Mangapuuri creek. —The committee stated this work would be done when adjoining owners were asked to clean out in October.

From Dost and Telegraph Department. stating they could not agree to extend the hours of attendance at the telephone exchange on Sundays.

From Lord Mayor- of London making an appeal for London Hospitals.—The committee decided not to recommend this to Council in view of the local appeal to be made shortly on belmlf of the blind bv Mr Chitlin Mackenzie.

A letter was read stating that a fearful stencil was issuing from the creek in the vicinity of the railway.—The Town Clerk stated that the matter had been reported to the Health Officer.
