To-day’s output reached 137 boxes. Speaking on the value ol' advertising at the British Music Industries Convention at Blackpool, Mr M. fib Blcketts, a London delegate, said there was a popular misconception that the consumer had to pay tor advertisements. The tact was that advertising not only paid for itself, but after doing that enabled goods to be sold more cheaply, because of the increased demand. Advertising was the easiest and cheapest way to sell goods. Bin the advertisers' promises must bo fulfilled. A good second-hand separator is advertised for. A girl for house work is advertised for. A l’itt ketosene engine is advertised for sale. Tenders, to close on September 27th, are invited for the erection of a dwelling. The bovs of the Otaki College resumed duties yesterday after three weeks’ holiday. Mrs Dana, of Hautere. advertises sittings of Black Orpington eggs. Mr G. Siddells, Otaki Railway, advertises slimmer sports goods for sale tit lowest prices. “For the smartest of smart hats try Cockrell’s” is the heading of an advertisement elsewhere. Tenders will be received up to noon on Tuesday. 2l>th, for the purchase ot land and buildings at Te lloro. The final dance of the season as fains the Te Hero Football Club is concerned will be held on Wednesday next (27th) in the public hall. Arrangements will be complete and all attending may rely on thoroughly enjoying themselves. During the evening there will be a presentation of trophies and medals.
