MONDAY'S RESULTS.

Marist (Wellington.) v. Old Boys Jui lors, H—s. Hni Mai v. Old Boys Seniors, 18—0. Both of the abase matches wer played on the domain on Monday an were witnessed by a large attendance The first match was played betweei the juniors which was the main attrac tion. From start to finish there was not a dull moment, and the passing oi th« visitors was a treat to witness, Both sides were fully represented, the visitors being strengthened by having three first graders in their team—Connop, Troy and Sullivan. Nevertheless the 'local'boys held their own. The first spell was even, no score being registered. On changing ends a free kick was given the visitors and Troy made a good attempt to convert, the ball just missing. The locals, thinking it was over dead ball line, did not make an attempt to force, and the visitors, following up, scored. Later they again scored. C. During the visitors' stay in Otaki they were entertained at supper by the _ local team, the Tainui meeting house being decorated by the ladies for the occasion. On behalf of the Old Boys' team Mr Loo Hansby welcomed the visitors, and Mr Troy spoke on the visitors' behalf. The second match was between Hui Mai and the local seniors. The visitors had the advantage in weight and form. Tries wore scored for the winners bv Kansfleld Bros., one each, Don

Wilson, and Eobinson. Three tries were converted, Mita Davis (2), and Waka (1). For the -winners' backs P. Ransfleld, Mita Davis, Waka, Silbery and Wallace all played well, and in the pack all shone out. The same applies to the losers' backs and forwards. Mr Ealph Thompson refereed.

A meeting of footballers will be.held to-morrow night to discuss the amalgamation of the Otaki and Old Boys Clubs. It is hoped both Clubs will be fully represented. Captain Bar has to hand the jerseys for the Otaki Club, and also balls donated by himself and Mr Brandon.
