"KANGAROOS” COMING.

AUSTRALIAN TEAM TO TOUR NEW ZEALAND. During the forthcoming season the long anticipated visit of an Australian team to tour the Dominion. Is practically assured (says the annual report of the Wellington Football Association) and such a visit is sure to give an added stimulus to the game, not only in Wellington, but throughout New Zealand. So far as the playing of matches in Wellington is concerned, two games a Wellington, and a New Zealand match will be played, towards which the association is required to guarantee an amount of £3OO. Throughout the-season the committee had strenuously opposed the decision of the council of the N.Z.F.A. to "pool” all receipts, as it was felt that the guarantors of the amount required, .viz., £3OO, should be the first to have consideration after the ordinary expenses of the match were met. The committee was instrumental in having a sepbial general meeting of delegates called by the N.Z.F.A. to reconsider the proposal to "pool” all receipts, and after a considerable discussion the delegates in attendance decided to abide by their previous decision, the Wellington delegates being in the minority. It was to be regretted that the remarks made by some of the delegates towards the attitude taken up by the association was not conducive to harmony in work-
