> SOCIAL AND DANCE. Owin" to no public notice having been given of tile social and dance in connection with the Ilui Mai football Club, the attendance was not so large as would otherwise have been expected, but, nevertheless, those who attended spent a most enjoyable time. Messrs W. Bcvan and W. Dalzell were general directors, and under their management everything went with a swing. The presentation of medals and other trophies was ruado by Major Tatum. The prizes were awarded os follows:—Gold medals (presented by Mt W. Levan): Jacob (Jtiku (best] senior back) and Don. Wilson (best senior forward); Major Jatum's case of pipes, Ken. Dalzell (best all-round] player). Bog George was awarded a special medal as skipper of the team. In the junior division Mr Aitkeu s gold medals were won by Joe Pohio (best back) and Bob Robinson (best forward). During the evening songs were rendered by Mr Jacob Utiku and were greatly appreciated. Mr W. Bevan acted as M. 0.. while Mr Dick Patuaka supplied the music. Supper was also provided.
