SPORTING.

Sprinkle, win? has been in Mr W. H. Bowden's hands at Otaki, ran a game race at Feilding, being well with the leaders jn the Maiden of twenty horses, and at the post followed in close proximity to the placed horses. Sprinkle, however, has probably run her lasrace, Mr L. H. Collinson, the wellknown Palmerston sportsman, having handed her over to Lady Jellicoe’s daughter for hack purposes. Mr Goilinson has given Punjaub to Lady Jellicoe, and this sporting spirit on his part has been greatly appreciated.

Mr Bowden has been asked on several occasions to take in hand some likely-looking animals, and will probably consent to train a hudler after the Christmas holidays.
