OTAKI FOOTBALL CLUB.
SOCIAL AND DANCE. A social, dance, and euchre party, in connection with the Otaki football Club, was held at Brights’ Theatre on Friday night as a termination of a successful season. The interior of the hall had been effectively decorated with bunting for the occasion, the floor was highly polished, thanks to tm energetic committee of young men, the music, supplied by Misses Rikihuna and Cook, was all that could be desired, the supper arrangements were under the able control of a ladies’ committee, while Air Duncan AVilson capably acted as' both secretary and master of ceremonies. The euchre turnament provided a deal of enjoy ment for non-dancers. r J wo valuable trophies, generously given by Mr anil Mrs AV. Sotheran, provided additional interest. The prizes were won by Mrs OJliver (jewel case) and Mr Jack Fairley (pocket-book). During the evening Air List, on be half of the club, presented trophies won during the season, and in doing so referred in humorous vein to the capabilities of the footballers who had proved Successful in winning the honours. Air Duncan AVilson, as the best forward, was awarded Mr J. AleGill’s gold medal, while Air .Toe Fogden (best back) was presented with the gold medal given by Airs Higgott. Mr H. Nieolson's greenstone pendant was won by Mr floss AVebby.
