A PROGRESSIVE MOVE.
; METHODIST PARSONAGE AT PARAPAKAUAITJ. A well-attended conference of Methodist Church officials, representative of Paraparaumu, AVaikanae, Te Horo and Otaki districts, was held at the AVaikanae Methodist Church on Friday night last, presided over by the Kev. AV. G. Slade, Af.A., to consider matters connected with the work of the missionary in the southern part ot the circuit. It tvas generally agreed that it was desirable that a residence be furnished for the home mission agent, and, aftei, discussion, the trustees of the Paraparaumu church were appointed a committee to make enquiries re the purchase of a suitable section at Paraparaumu for this purpose, and port on same. ! The meeting resolved to immediately start a fund for the project, and ur- ; Tangements were made for appointing canvassers at all the centres of the circuit. Donations will be solicited, •while the canvassers will endeavour to secure regular monthly subscribers. The meeting also took steps to secure j a suitable residence for the home mis-i sionary until such lime as a parsonage could be erected.
