FOOTBALL.
A football match was played at Otaki on Saturday afternoon between the Convent and the State School lads. The game was interesting, and play was, on the whole, <\ven, although during the first half Convent had the advantage. Almost on call of time Keith Drvsdale scored a try for the State boys, but no goal resulted. Thus the game ended. Air Nicolson was referee. THE MOASCAK CUP. Tremendous interest centred in the semi-final for the above trophy, played at Palmerston North ou Saturday between -Palmerston North High School and Auckland Grammar School The Palmerston boys won by live points to nil, after a. stubborn match, witnessed •by 7000 people. The final will be played at Wellington on Tuesday next, when the Palmerston boys meet the South Island champion team. Christchurch Boys’ High School. Wellington defeated Wairarapa on Saturday by 3S points to .11.
