CHILDREN’S COMPETITIONS.
1 ' MONDAY NIGHT NEXT. The children’s competitions, to be held on Monday evening next, at Brights’ Theatre supper-room, promise to be most, successful. The entries ! have come in very well indeed, and as the children arc keenly interested, the competitions should be well worth attending. A charge of one shilling for admission will be made to adults, while i children (non-performers) will bo ■ charged 3d, and those participating will be admitted free. AVc hope to see / a very large attendance on Monday > night, as these competitions have a ( splendid educational effect, and deserve every encouragement. 1 The judging will be carried out by i the following ladies and gentlemen:— '■ Songs, Mesdames W. H. Wills and It. t M. D’Ath; pianoforte playing, Mrs < Stable; essays, Rev. G. F. I'etrie, M.A., t and Mr W. H. Wills, 8.A.; recitations, 1 Mrs Sargisson and Mr Prank Penn; ( drawing, Sister Lewis, Miss Crellin and t Mr A. R. Rudkin; spelling, Rev. G. P. 1 Petrie, M.A., and Mr A. R. Rudkin. 1
