FACERS' UNION.

MEETING OF MaNAKAU BRANCH. The usual, monthly meeting of the Manakau branch of the X.Z. Farmers' Union was held on Thursday. During the day several farms were visited by Mr Ward (Instructor in. Agriculture) and his assistant. Mr Crieff Smith. In the evening -Mr Ward gave a very interesting address, which was laueh' appreciated by those present. The lecturer dealt with the treatment Of pasture land. It was decided by members to arrange a day on which to Visit the Central Development Farm at Werarpa, ami Mr Duncum was deputed to make all arrangements with Mr McCullough, the manager. Since the meeting Friday has beearranged for the day of the visit, and !sny members who were net at the meeting, ami whir are desirous of making the trip, should communicate be fore Friday morning with .Mr Duncum or the secretary (Mr Sirncox),
