HOCKEY.

A meeting of the management committee of the Horowhenua Hockey Association was held tit Levin on Monday evening. The Foxton Club, which played a draw with To Horo, protested against a man who had previously played lor Excelsior, and who was a member of the Club.. The player in question admitted that he was a member of another club. The Tc Horo delegate said his club had acted innocently in the matter, and as the man in question had been acting as referee he had no idea he was also a player. The club had no intention of "ringing-in," and considered it would have been more fcportsnianlikc had Foxton protested at the time of the match. It was decided that the game be replayed at the end of the season. II was decided to play a second round for the championship, and 10 protest against the N.Z. Hockey Association's decision to incorporate 'Horowhenua with Manawntu. It was resolved to endeavour to secure more referee.-.
