BOWLING.
A match that has been eagerly looked forward to was played for the I'earcy Cup on the Otaki bowling green on .Saturday between Edward*, Witched. O'Kourke. and Brandon (s) v. Smith, Petrie. Bills, and Satkerlcy (s).
The former quartette opened with a three, and on the fifth head had a lead of ti—l. the 13th head, however, play was almost equal. Sathewey's rink securing a four, which carried their total to eleven—one behind their opponents. A three followed, and in consequence Brandon's rink was two down on the 16th head. After this, however, Satkerlcy failed to score, a.nd Brandon won. SO—l4.
