EFFECTS OF ALCOHOL.
Effects of alcohol on the drinker, and ways of getting rid of them, were )mirated by Dr. Edward Mellauby before the Medical Society of London. Following arc some of his points:—lf a mini who bad taken intoxicating liquor shot at a target, he would think he had done better than before, when- he really had done worse. If a man got drunk and kept running about he would get sober sooner than by sleeping. By getting a man vqry drunk, and persuading him to drink two pints of meal extract, he found a very rapid recovery was made. A drink which would keep a man drunk for the longest time, anri at the same time eliminate the wois. effects of getting drunk, was a mixture yf’rum ami milk.
