MT. HECTOR TRACK.
The Public Works Department has signified its intention of sending Mr Hardinge, tliir engineer at Grcvtown, over the Mount Hector track for the purpose of making an inspection in connection with the proposed track improvement. It has been decided by the Tararua Tramping Club to make the trip from Grcvtown on Saturday next, if convenient to all parties. The Otaki Committee is now asked to send a representative or representatives to go with the party, or Io set out from Otaki to meet those from Wairarapa. The local secretary of the committee (Mr H. Nicolsou) would lie pleased if any member of the committee would immediately communicate with him on the matter.
