ADDINGTON MARKET. Christchurch, March 3. At Addinglou market there was an average yarding of fat cattle and sheep and a large one of fat lambs. Both cattle and sheep sold at late rates notwithstanding the fact (hat freezing buyers operated less freely than usual. Pat lambs were easier.

Store Sheep.—A huge yarding of about twenty-eigln thousand. Sale for forward lamb.- find wethers was good, although all lines eased towards the Close of the sale. Fat Lambs.—6ooo penned, composed of 4Sti<l from the preceding sale. There was a "big proportion of indifferent quality, which met with slow sale. A few pens of really prime brought from 33s to 30s. prinie lambs 29s- to 32s lid. medium 25s to 27s od. lighter and unfinished 20s (jd to 24s yd.

Fat Cattle. generally inferior, a great quantity of unfinished stuff being brought forward. Values were firm throughout, particularly towards the elosc. Fat Sheep. An average yarding of seven rates, good quality. The tone of the market was very firm towards the close of the sale. Freezing buyers secured the proportion of the yarding, but did not display so mueh activity as in recent .-ales. Extra prime wethers to -Ids 7d, prime wethers 27s (id to 43s •3d. medium 34s (id to 36s (id. lighter 2Ss 9d lo "4s Id, prime 37s to 43s -Id. ordinary 31s to 375, lighter 24s Cd to 31s. Dairy cows were in short supply, but met with a keen demand; heifers and cows close to profit being keenly sought after. Heifers to £lB, good cows £lB to £lB ."is Hd. ordinary £9 to £l4 10s.

Store Cattle. An average entry, bulls figuring largely. Forward steers met with good inquiry. Bulls to £l6 In-, two-year steers £7 5s to £B, threeyear steers £lO 10s to £l2 15s. Venlcrs;—There was a medium yarding and an average demand. Fat Pigs.—A good entry of fat pigs. which met with a fair demand. Bceent rates were realised, the average price per lb being lid to 11W. •Store Pigs.—A large yarding and a reduced demand. Best stores to £5 3s. medium to £•'! 18s, wcaners 19s to 325.

LEVIN STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale at Levin on Tuesday, the 2nd inst, when they offered u fair yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle.
