MANAKAU NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent). Miss Louise Mack, war correspondent, gave one of her interesting and instructive lectures at the Manakau Town Hall last night, when there was a fair attendance. All present were delighted with Miss Mack’s eloquent address and tho splendid pictures screened. At the conclusion of the gathering Mr Howurd Andrew thanked Miss Mack, on behalf of the townspeople, for visiting Manakau and for her in. stxuctive address. Mr Andrew apologised for the hall not being crowded. Mr and Mrs C. Perham, of Manakau, arc spending the Christmas holidays at Nelson. Mrs M. Soutliec has gone to Auckland district for.the holidays.
