CRICKET.
There is a growing feeling in Levin that Otaki is very lax in cricket matters. Levinitcs point out that, despite the fact that Otaki holds the championship shield, it made no move to prove its title to it this season. At a recent meeting of the Association the opinion was expressed that with a little push Otaki could secure a club that would be a credit to the district, and it was therefore decided to ask them to take action. Championship fixtures liuvo been drawn up, Otaki being drawn to play Te Horo on January 2nd. It is hoped Otaki will raise a team for the occasion and put its best foot forward to fulfil all engagements that have been drawn up. There is no doubt but that there are several fine cricketers here, and the exercise of a little energy should result in a first-class club being formed.
