PERSONAL.
Mr T.,H. Windley, of Te Horo, was the judge of milking Shorthorns at the Wairarapa Show. Mr and Mrs B. C. Dann, well-known ex-residents of Otaki. and late of Masterton, are now living at J’ahautanui. where they have secured a farm. Mr Chandler, for some time connected with the Te Horo Dairy Co., has accepted a position with the Raimi Co., and commences on his duties almost immediately.
Mr and Mrs ,T. P. Brandon, who have purchased Mr H. Driscoll’s residence, Waerenga Road, Otaki, have arrived in Otaki from the city, and will take up residence here. Mr Brandon is one of Wellington’s leading business men, and we heartily welcome him as an acquisition to our town. Mr Miller and family, also prominent Wellington citizens, have taken over Mr C. A. Grifiiths’ property, Otaki. The Rev. G. Calvert Blatliwayt (principal of the Otaki Native College) and Mrs Blatliwayt leave to-morrow for Island Bay, Wellington, where the Rev. Blatliwayt has received an appointment as vicar. During their stay here, for a considerable period, Rev. and Mrs Blatliwayt have identified themselves with many organisations for the welfare of the town and district. Mr Blathwayt was a valued member of the Patriotic Society, tbti Literary and Debating Club, Horticultural Society, Bulb Society and other bodies, and has done splendid work in assisting with services at the Anglican Church, Mrs Blathwayt has been organist at All Saints’ Church for a lengthy period, and both Mr and Mrs Blathwayt have proved themselves valued citizens, who will be much missed by a great many friends, all of whom wish them all success in ilicir new sphere. Mr Wills, of Te Ante College, who is to succeed Rev. Blatliwayt ts principal of the College, is to arrive at Otaki, with Mrs Wills, this afternoon.
