Owing to the contractor not having
yet finished improvements at the tenuis courts, the open mg arranged for Monday last did not eventuate. A number of players, however, congregated on the school court and indulged iu the pleasant pastime.
The cricket match, Married v. isingle,
played on Monday, proved very interesting, the former winning by the narrow- margin of two runs. Blair, for the winners, made top score (12), while Robinson for the Single men contributed no less than 31 of the total score. Mr ami Mrs Hector Miles, who have been residents of Mannkau for the past two years, leave to-day to go farming jn the Itnngitikci district. During their
stay here they proved very popular, while Mrs Milos has helped greatly in patriotic matters. Both will be much missed.
