IKAKORI CLUB V. WHAP.EROA. After a lapse of .some considerable time of inactivity on account of the war interest in rifle shooting has been resuscitated, and the Whareroa Club on Monday met ihcir old rival,-, fvnrori, at I’antparaumu. The metropolitan team v.as met at the station and driven out to the ranee by the Wbareroa team, when the match was commenced at. 500 yards, 10 shots. Owing to the late start and there being only one target the match was decided at the one range. Karon had the advantage by 10 points with Rifleman F. Ching in the lead for Karon, with Rifleman S. Batten with the highest score for Whareroa The teams found the range rather tricky, and great credit is due to tfio country team in making such a close finish, as. they had nor been shooting n gtdariy since the outbreak of war.
