DEMONSTRATIONS OF FLORAL WORK. Yesterday afternoon, at. Brights' Theatre supper-room, Mrs Russell, of Wellington, gave a demonstration of the art of floral decora lions,_under the auspices of the local Horticultural Society. There was a splendid attendance of nearly thirty, including one or two men. Airs Russell, who is a thoroughly efficient florist, guve a most interesting demonstration. She. gave an instructive talk on the proper tools to use, how to manufacture frames for floral devices, etc,., informed her audience of many little 4 * tricks of the trade,” and altogether the gathering was most interesting and helpful. Mr* Russel! decorated- a fan and memorial cross, giving useful hints and answering questions. Those present were delighted with the demonstration.
Another demonstration will be held at the same place at 7 o’clock to-night, when doubtless there will again lie a large attendance. All are cordially invited to attend. At to-night'a meeting Air? Bussell will show how to make various kinds of bouquets, and give advice aa to the blending of colour* and other interesting phases of flora! work.
