The AVaikanae stud fa.rm is at present looking very picturesque, and the lovely view gaine'4 of Kapiti and the .South Diland from the grassy slope* on a fine day is one riot to be forgotten. Others include many kigh-ekus performers from various part- of New Zealand, winners of era ps and the like, and now seem quite content in their new quarters. Among the mares are: Alisa De VaJ, Derelict, Princess Mcratoa, Trace, Golden Ball, Royal Academy, Adorn, Morganatic, Lady Wayward IL, Margarine (Dunedin Cup winner), Accumulative (data of Devotion), Imagination, Silken Reia, Heila now,, Cfcrisfiaas E me, Tarangamutu, Northern lieiro. Tea-cup (dam. of De Gama, of Australia), Boaaite (dhttt of BelfaaeUo), Hill. Blue Bibboa (data of Bed Bibbore), Happy Maid (darn of Bonny Maid), Lady Doulsa, and Simper (data of Affectation, who won the Wanganui Guineas). Daring the week several have had" foals, and all appear to be thriving.
