RIFLE SHOOTING.
HAUTERE RIFLE CLUB. The members of the Hnutere Rifle * ; Club opened the season on Saturday with 10 shots at 200yds for a ladies’ -bracelet. The attendance was the largest that the club has had f#r ten j years on a similar occasion, there being an attendance of 23, 21 competing. The ladies turned out- in force and bad the pavilion beautifully decorated, while the tables were most artistically laid out with afternoon .tea. 'The winning lady was Mrs T. Taylor, who drew Rifleman H. Jepson; the second prize went to Airs Jepson, who drew Rifleman E. Strom. Both the winners arc returned soldiers, who are a credit to tie club. Rifleman Beauchamp topped the scores off the gun with the fine seor« of 14. The handicapping was done by President. J. Guy, and was a credit tdjhim. Following are the scores: — J
