Aim H. M. Essex, of Levin, has kindly offered to instruct a nursing class in that township in view of a possible recrudescence of the influenza epidemic. The syllabus will be as follows: 1. What is required cf a nurse: Punctuality, cleanliness, care of haad?, how to take temperatures, guise aid respiration. 2. Bed-making aud changing linen. 3. Observation of the sick and management of patients. 4. Management of helpless patient; Moving, changing, personal cleanliiess, feeding, preventmg bed sores. 3. Sponging, poultices, fomentations and ice-bags. 6. Medicines, diets, tfiezaaest of mouth, tougu* and lips in fever cases.
