•‘PANTHEA.” "Panthea,” featuring Norma Talmage, will be screened to-morrow night, and should att«HCt a crowded house. The synopsis is as follows: Panthca (Norma Talmuge) is a famous pianiste, and Baron de Diiisitor, a great impressario, regards her longingly. Panthea’s brother Ivan is a Nihilist. Meanwhile the baron decides to ask the Prefect of Police to trump up a charge against Panthea, who has repulsed him . He wishes to intervene and earn Panthea's gratitude ky saving her from the law. AVhen the police descend upon the apartment they surprise and arrest the Nihilists in session. A fight follows and a man is killed. Panthea’s brother escapes, but the death of a soldier is attributed to Panthca herself. The .baron is denied the privilege of seeing her, and she is sentenced to prison. A soldier aids Panthea to escape and she flees to England. In crossing to Plymouth the boat in wrecked and Panthea is rescued by Gearard Mordannt. The pair fall in love. A Russian agent has also been on the wrecked boat. Gerard’s parents object to Panthea’s growing influence over their son. The Russian agent discovers Panthea, but before he can arrange her arrest she and Gerard elope. Two years later they aie found I married and living in Paris. GeTard is lin failing health. Seeking an impresI sario to produce her husband’s oper-a, ! Panthea again meets Baron Dc DuisiI tor. News of a likelihood of success cheers Gerard, who goes out to celebrate. Meanwhile the baion comes to j Gerard’s house to consult with Pan- ■ thea. Here he makes a dishonourable : proposal, and she takes time to consider Gerard becomes ill an i Panthea sacri- ' flees herself on the altar of devotion. The opera is produced and is a wonder- - ful success. The baron gives a dinner ■ on the last night of. his thirty day compact with Panthea. She demands that he keep his pledge and drink poison. Gerard hears them quarrelling and discovers his -wife’s infidelity. He denounces the pair and rashes from the house. But the family doctor explains the nobility of the sacrifice and reunites them.
