MURDER OF CAPTAIN FRYATT. IVliat is claimed to be ilie picture sensation of the year will be shown at Otpki to-morrow night, when “The. Murder of Captain -Fryatt” will lie thrown on tlio-?screen. The picture i*not claimed to be sensational, but shows how a German spy wormed himself into Captain Fryatt’s home and eventually brought about his capture and death- The captain’s home ties, his family life, will be faithfully portrayed, while scenes from all parts of the seven seas will bo shown.
GARDEN PARTY. Particulars of t!ic garden party to be held at Major Tatum’s lovely grounds on Wednesday • are advertised. Arrangements, have been made for an enjoyable day, and all who attend should have no regrets. There will be various stalls, while afternoon tea will be provided. RED CROSS SHOP. To-morrow the Red Cross shop will re-open at Otaki (Hannah’s Buildings), when a tine array of goods will be offered for sale. As the management is desirous of raising a large sum of money for our soldier boys it is hoped all will give—no article will be too small, and everything will be gratefully accepted. The competitions should arouse more than usual interest, and the xloll’s house, generously given and furnished by Miss Calleott, will entice numbers to invest a nimble sixpence on the offchance. of securing the valuable prize. Ticket holders and all others should make a point of viewing the house —to view is to invest.
