PARAPARAUMU.
A social and dance was last nigkt accorded soldiers who have been on active service. There was a large number of people present, including representatives from the • adjacent townships. Songs were rendered by Miss Lynch, Miss Donovan, Miss; Forrest, and Mr D. Lynch, while daaee music was supplied by. Miss Ria Tahiwi, of Otaki. During the evening a silver medal was presented to each of tlie soldiers. M? W. J. Howell, in making the presentation, Teferred in tho highest terms of the excellent services done by all who had gone on active service.
