MANAKAU.
Mr W. Galloway, of Pahautanui, has purchased Mr O'Connor's farm property. Mrs. Galloway, of Shannon, who recently suffered a sad bereavement, will take possession for the time being. Mrs Bradshaw, postmistress, has returned from a holiday spent in various parts of the island, including Auckland and Wellington. Miss Firth, who has been relioviug, returned Jo Wellington yesterday. Improvements havo been carried out at the cheese factory, the chief being the installation of a water-race, which will carry' away surplus whoy, etc. The work was done in & satisfactory manner under the supervision of Horowhenua County Council.
