Sir,-—The following is a statement laid before the Parihaka Road Board meeting held on the 22nd October, 1890, showing the revenue and expenditure at the northern end of the Waiweranui and south of the Moutoti streams:— Receipts from 14th November, 1882, to 2nd July, 1887. £ s. d. Revenue—Native Rates ... 590 0 0 General Rates... 132 0 0 Gov'n't Subsidy 20 0 0 Total ... £742 0 0 Expenditure-Northern End 37 0 0 Southern End 306 0 0 Total ... £343 0 0 Balance Unexpended ... £399 0 0 I think that at a meeting of the above Board, held in July, 1890, it was resolved, on the motion of Messrs Bayly and Elwin, "That for the purposes of accounts, the Parihaka Road District be in future divided into three sections, and all payments to be debited to each section as tbey occur— (a) from Stoney River to the Waiweranui; (b) Waiweranui to Moutoti; (c) Moutoti to Taungatara.—l am, ilc, G.
