SCHOOL FOR APPRENTICES
V INTEREST OF MOTOR TRADE PERMISSION FOR BUILDING At the monthly meeting of the Opotiki District High School-Com-mittee held last night, a letter was read from the Opotiki Branch of the N.Z. Retail Motor Trade Assn, regarding apprenticeship training. It was stated that at a meeting of the local branch of the associaiton it was pointed out that there was a great need in Opotiki for a suitable school for the .training of apprentices for tiho motor trade. The association, understood that funds 'were available for the erection of a building, provided that a suitable site could be obtained on school, property. Upon a site being approved and the erection of the building arranged, then the application for - the necessary equipment could be proceeded with. The Chairman, Mr. AY. J. In skip, stated that the committee had replied that it was in agreement that there was great need for a suitable school for training purposes, and had pleasure in granting the association permission to erect a building on a suitable site on school property. The site, would be arranged when the building is available.
