PICNIC TOURNAMENT The Opotiki' Citizens’ Bowling Club held a very successful picnic tournament o-ver the week-end. Teams from Whakatane, Taneatua and both local clubs competed. Being the first of its kind for the new season there were quite a few surprises. Five games of eleven heads were played in two sections. In the A Section J. Whiefield’s team won on a draw to be in the final. B. Section was won outright with four wins. In the final MeKillop’s team defeated Whitfield’s in a close contest.
