FORTNIGHTLY PIG SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report as follows on the fortnightly- pig sale held on Monday, where there was a very large yarding of baconers and porkers, but only a small number of stores and weauers. Baconers sold readily at firm values. Buttermilk pigs and porker were keenly sought after by outside buyers and these together with small stores showed a rise on late rates. Prices realised: — Heavy baconers, £6 2s to £6 6s; medium baconers, £5 15s to £5 19s; light baconers, £5 5s to £5 lteq heavy porkers and feeder pigs, £4 14s to £5 3s; large stores and medium porkers, £4 11s to.£4 17s; small stores, £3 18s to £-1; slips, inferior, £2 14s to £2 17s; weaners, small, to 345; ma.iden Tamworth cross sow's, £5 17s 6d to £6 9s .

Messrs. D'algety and Company Limited report having held their fortnightly pig sale on Monday, 3rd. November when there was a fair yarding of all classes of lighter sorts and stores were keenly competed for, prices being on a par with recent sales. Realisations were:—

Prime heavy baconers, £6 to £6 6s ; heavy baconers, £5 to £5 14s; medium baconers, £4 15s to £4 18s; porkers, £3 12s to £4; good store pig'S, £3 18s to 3 gns. ; lighter stores, £2 to £2 10s; weaners, £l 11s to £l 17s.
