WEDDING
TAYLOR—FARN WORTH A' wedding of local interest was solemnised in the Ongarue Catholic Quitchrecently when Aliss Veronica Jessie Farnwortli,® elder- daughter of Air. and Mrs. Farnwortli, of Hawai Bay, Opotiki, was marriedl to Air. Andrew Taylor, second son of Mr. and Airs. T. Taylor, Ongarue. The cilmrch was beautifully decorated by; friends of the bride and groom with white' snow-lmlls and sweet peas. The Rev. Father De Bree was the officiating clergyman and the organist Air. AB Lawrence. The bride who' entered the church on the arm of her lather, looked very charming wearing a- frock of phantom striped crepe celeste cut on Grecian lines with a heart-shaped bodice. A panel was in-let- in the hack, which swept from the shoulders into a graceful t rain at the back. The hand-work-ed veil was held in place hy a halo trimmed with pearls. She carried a sheaf of white arum lilies withyv silver horseshoe suspended from a white satin ribbon. The bridesmaids, Aliss Joan Farnwortli and Aliss Joan Taylor, sisters ot thei bride and ’ groom, wore prettily attired in lavendar water-silk taffeta cut on princess lines and trimmed uitli buttons from tlie high waist-line to tbo peaked collar. They wore lavendar tulle shoulder length veils held up by top knots of mauve irises, mull they carried shaded lavendar sweet peas. Air. T. Taylor, brother of the bridegroom. was the Best- man, and Alt'. J. Coleman was the groomsman. Airs. Farnwortli was attired in u black and white ensemble with a hat to match, and' she carried a van-col-oured posy. Airs. Ta.vlor wore floral crepe with Imt toi match in biscuit shade. She carried a posy in autumn tints.
Alter the wedding ceremony, the guests were received at the Ongarue House by Air. and Mrs. Farnwortli, where the wedding breakfast was held. A number of toasts were proposed including that of the newly married couple. Tlio toasts wore in the capable hands of Air. *K. William*, as toast-master.
After the breakfast, AB. and Airs. Taylor motored to Taumaranui and they left later for the north to spend their honeymoon.
