WOODLANDS MEETINC The November meeting of the Woodlands Women’s Institute held on Tuesday was International Day and the programme had been aliangod accordingly. Alts. Noble presided over a good attendance. The flower show balance >\us presented, showing a credit of L 8 13s s)d to be handed to the Red Cross J'muD. Ti lc . roll call, “Story about some Count t v’'. was answered in an interesting manner. Alls. Noble contributed the golden thread, with a very instructive reading on Holland, the details of farm liio there being particularly good. There was a wonderful display of I,looms in the competition for a bowl of roses, and there were excellent entries in all the competitions, the results being:— Bowl of Roses: Mrs. Pilkingtom 1. Sponge Roll: Mrs. AlcCaldon 1. Hag of petals arranged on plate: Airs. Sargent 1. The winners of the points prizes for the year were presented with their trophies, the successful competitors being:— Airs. Sargent 1, Mrs. McCaldon 2, Airs. Price and Airs. Pilkington (tie) 3.. A brain lag arranged by Airs. Noble was won by Airs. Price. Hostesses for the''* day were Mrs. Alulliern and Airs. IJarboui. A very good meeting ended.with the National Anthem.
