MUSIC EXAMINATIONS

RESULTS AT OPOTIKI Results of the examination conducted by Dr. J. F. Staton on behalf of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, at the local Convent during the past week, are as follows : Grade Vll.—Pass with credit; Mrs. L. Sinclair (singing). Grade IV.—Pass with credit: Anne Mail. oradio 111. —Pass: Annie Kalf, Maris Stevens. Grade ll.—Pass- Fav Stevens. tirade I.—Duss with credit: Auclry Cooper. Preliminary: Beryl Guthrie. All candidates, with the exception of Mrs. Sinclair, who took singing, were players of the piano. Due praise was accorded by Dr. Staton to Mrs. Sinclair on her voice production and general performance. After the examination Dr. Staton remarked that all the candidates had been well aught and that in his opinion the standard' of tuition at the local convent is well above the average.
