OPENING OF SEASON H A NDICA PS J) KCI .AR 1:1) The following were present at a meeting of the Opotiki Amateur Athletic and' Cycling Club held in Mr. Tim Hickey’s rooms on Tuesday night: Messrs. T. Hickey (chairman), C. Tabb, Griffin. Delamere, Inskip, H. Gordon, Beattie, Fleming (secretary). Apologies were received from Mrs. Hampton, Messrs,, de Montalk, Carter, McCaldou and Jephson. A letter was received from Mr. Hunt stating that he had .secured tw 0 delegates- to the Waikato s üb-union, namely. R. Thompson and J. Ferguson. It was decided to write to these gentlemen thanking them tor offering their services. Mr. Creagh was selected as hon. surveyor. It was decided; to approach Mesdames Potts and Hod ley re chaperoning of girls at meetings. Air. tie Montalk will he approached re preparation of ground. It was decided to hold the second meeting on,the 20th. November. .The next committee meeting will he held on Thursday. November 2.
