DISORDERLY BEHAVIOUR POLICE UNIFORM TORN • • ~ # . At the Opotiki Police Court, before Messrs. O. Pipe and J. 1). Clark, J.P.s’ a Maori, Mum Koroua 'Jini, was charged with disorderly behaviour and with doing wilful damage. It was stated' by the police that the defendant was. drank at the time ,of the offence and was refused admission to the picture theatre. Tai behaved in,,a disorderly manner there and, when he was being arrested by the police, he struggled with, the officer and tore the jacket of his uniform.

On the first charge the defendant was ccmvietecl and fined 10s, while on the second charge he was ordered, to pay for the damage to the uniform, amounting to- £l.
