NEW WAIMANA HALL DANCE HELD BY TENNIS CLUB . , ■■■ T Y . \ (News Corespondent). The opening dance, which was held iu the new Waimana Hall last 'week, was organised by the Waimana: Tennis Club. The function was a great success in every wav. The floor was filled with happy dancers from all parts of the Bay of Plenty. The floor, although new, was in excellent order for dancing. The. .stage was prettily decorated with bowls of autumn tinted flowers. . The confetti, streamer and balloon dances, added much to the merriment of, the evening. Excellent, dance music, was played by Roy Parkes and his Rhythm Boys, and an extra was played by Air. Christie. Air. CL N. Alenges most capably acted as AI.C. and Air. Morton kindly acted as door-keeper. A box of chocolates'for competition was won by Air. G. Print: After a dainty supper liad been served by tlie ladies, Air. T. AY. AVardlaw, in weil-elioisen words, congratulated Air. Bell on building such a fine ball, the appreciation being carried Air. AYardlaw thanked all who had attended the dance, and those who helped in any wav at all to make the function the success it had been, the door money being just over £'3B, which was very good.
