LABOUR PARTY CONFERENCE
BAY REPRESENTATIVES Mr. A. G. Hultquist M.P., left .Whakatane on Saturday for "Wellington and will represent a number of branches of the New Zealand Labour Party in the Bay of Plenty electorate at the Party’s 23rd. annual conference Which opened in Wellington on -Easter Monday. The conference will probably last until Thursday and Mr. Hultquist proposes to return to Whakatane on Saturday next (15th. inst.). TjJie Bay of Plenty Electorate will be one of the most thoroughly represented) electorates at the conference, no fewer than nine other delegates accompanying Mr. Hultquist. They include the following:—Mr. Ghas. Mills J.P. Mr. I. F ! . Watt J.P. (president and vice-president respectively of the Bay of Plenty L.R.C.), J. Thompson (Te Karaka), T. M. Jamieson (R-uatu-ria), E. B-. Maunder (Whakatane), C. HL Christensen (Whakatane), G. 'H. Lloyd (Taneatua), Partridge (Awakeli), T. Farrell (Awakeri), J.- Wilscn (Thornton).
