YOUNG WOMAN GAOLED LONDON. Nov. 20.—Alias Heicn Hulick defied a, Los Angeles •..California) judge’s warning not to wear slacks in court —and was gaoled for live days for contempt of court when she appeared in them for the third time. Her counsel pleaded she had no silk stocking:;. But the judge said: “it’s a pretty speech, hut I have already passed sentence.” Helen was giving evidence against two negroes, accused of stealing her purse.
