competition CONTINUED FLRS'i; CENTURY recorded Two matches were played in tlie Opotiki competitions during the weekend, one between Woodlands and Town and the other between Old Collegians find Otara. in the 1 Woodlands v. Town match, the former, hatting first, scored 180.. The main scorer was Lendrum, a new-comer to tlie district, who .made 10-5 retired. The others to reach double figures were D. Beattie 20 and T. Clark 10. Town in their first innings compiled 01, Cooper not out 20 and Clements 10, being the only batsmen to roach double figures. Following on Town made 71, J. Sarjeant not out 21 and Le Fine 13 being the main run-getters- Woodlands scored an outright win. In tho Otara v. Old Collegians game. Otara hatting first made 52. Old Collegians, replied with 104, Metis 42 and Kururangi 16 being the only ones to reach double figures. Going in tor their second innings. Otara compiled 153 far the loss of eight wickets. W.
