NEW PETROL PRICES
NO DECREASE IX' OPOTiKI PRICE R FJDX’CEiD IX' GISBORNE inquiries yesterday in Opotiki showed that there had been no reduction made in the price of petrol here. The price lias not been fixed by the Government in the Bay of Plenty, the question of decrease or increase being at present left in the hands of the resellers themselves. In Gisborne a reduction of a half-penny per gallon took effect as from Tuesday, the new prices being 2s od for super and 2s 4d for first grade. Owing to the higher freight rates in Gisborne the price has been higher than in Opotiki for some considerable time.
