MAN AND CHILD INJURED

SEVERE CUTS RECEIVED

While returning from the football match played at Matata on Saturday evening, Mr Bert Russell receivedsevere cuts on the forehead and lip through the .van in which lie was travelling striking a hank. The accident occurred in the evening on the White Pine Bush road, when the vail, which was driven by Mr J. Ross, struck the toe of a partly cleared slip and then went into the bank. Mr Russell lost a. good deal of blood and itwas found' necessary yesterday to remove him to the Opotiki Hospital where several stitches were insertedOne of Mr Ross’ children also' received cuts but not of a serious nature.
