BRITISH MAN UFACT URE

LONDON. June 28.—Courta aid’s, Limited, lias begun production of a now Italian synthetic wool on which it has obtained the sole British rights, informed trade sources say.

The new product, derived from casein, will he known as lanital. It is believed large-scale production of this fibre will insure a new market for surplus milk supplies. It is understood that Courtauld’s has no intention of pushing lanital as a substitute for natural wool, hut that it will he used for mixing with other fibres.
