BASKETBALL

VISIT TO GISBORNE

During the week-end members of the Opotiki High School Old Girls’ Basketball team journeyed to Gisborne to participate in friendly matches. The team met the Povertyi Bay A and B teams. The match with the B team, was very evenly contested, the. final, score being 8:1.

As might be expected, the match with the A team resulted in 'the local girls being outclassed. In the evening, the visiting teams, comprising representatives from Wairoa, Te Karaka. and Opotiki, were entertained by the Poverty Bay Basketball Association at a dahee at Le Grand Cafe.
